Psychological and Educational Testing Second Edition

ISBN: 978-1-56226-622-6

Looking for a textbook for your “Tests and Measurements” course that won’t scare your students out of their wits with complicated formulas they will struggle to learn and soon forget? Does it bother you that students often pay $100 for a heavy textbook better suited for arm curls than arming them with the tools they need to understand testing? How about a book that presents reliable and valid scales that are fun for the student to take, simple to score, and easy to interpret? Psychological and Educational Testing: The User Friendly Textbook may be just what you are looking for. The term “user friendly” implies that a difficult process has been made easier. The material in this text is presented in a conversational style that is less difficult and increases student interest and comprehension.

  • Conversational, easy-to-read style that captures and holds student interest
  • Study questions following each chapter help student focus on important points
  • Test bank written by psychologists who have experience writing test items, not bored grad students with no experience writing test items
  • Cost of the text to the student is considerably lower than average
  • Computer exercises use real scales and encourage the collection and analysis of real test data
  • A chapter designed to help those who are training to be teachers, so they can learn to create good tests.
